Information Collected During Registration

When you create or edit a account, you provide some personal information, such as your Guild Wars 2 username, password, and an email address. Some of this information is listed publicly on our Services, including on your profile page and in search results. Some Services, such as search, public user account profiles and viewing lists, do not require registration. Your Guild Wars 2 username (so that we can identify you as a member of our guild by finding you in our guild roster in-game), an email address, and a password of your choice are required in order to register. The email address used for registration and the password you choose when you register that Our Web site are not shared with others. Additional Information Provided

You may provide us with additional information to make public, such as:

  • information about your Guild Wars 2 character(s) and activities

  • pictures of your Guild Wars 2 character or real life self
  • any other pieces of information

You may customize your account with such information, and all information provided is considered public unless the field for such information on your profile edit page states otherwise. If you email us, we may keep your message, email address and contact information to respond to your request. Providing the additional information described in this section is entirely optional and you may add or remove such information at your own discretion.

Subscribing, Following, Friend Requests, Lists and other Public Information

Our Services are primarily designed to help you share information with the world. This includes not only the other members of but anyone who may access this site without a membership. Most of the information you provide to us is information you are requesting we make public. This includes not only the content you post on our Web sites and the metadata provided with such content, such as when you posted a new topic in our forums, or a new comment posted to existing content, but also the people you follow and those who follow you (if applicable), the content you mark as "favorites" (if applicable) and any other information posted. Our default is almost always that we make the information you provide to us public, but we give you the ability to make your information private if you want, although this may require that you remove such information from our Web site. Your public information is disseminated to the world. For example, the information stored as part of your Guild Wars 2 character profile(s) can be searched by search engines and is delivered immediately by our APIs to other users and services. This also applies to some of the information that you provide in your user account profile. You should be careful about all information that will be made public by and only post information to this site that you wish to share with the world.

Your Location Information

You may choose to note your location in your profile. You can control this information in your account settings. All location information is accessible to other members of this Web site, so please take care to only provide us the information you wish them to see.

Note that some types of content posted to cannot be modified once posted by you. This is by design because our our Web site is meant to be a place where members can post content and comment on the content that others have posted. Allowing the modification of certain types of content once others have commented on it would "break" the conversation and make it impossible for others to follow. Your public profile information, however, may always be modified, so it is always best, if you choose to post personal information about yourself to our Web site, that you post it to your personal profile, so that you are able to modify or remove it later.

Section 4: Our Privacy Policy Regarding Children

Our Services are not intended to be used by people under the age of 13. If you become aware that your child has provided us with any personal information without your consent, please use the contact form to notify us. We never knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If we become aware that a child under the age of 13 has provided us with any personal information, we will take the necessary steps to remove such information and block the child's account so that the child is no longer able to log into our Web site and use our Services.
